I’ve been working in the Animal Training Business now for over a decade. I’ve worked in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. I’ve worked with some of the best animal trainers in the world. I’ve also worked for some of the largest Animal Training Businesses. I’ve set up complete new Live Animal Shows. I’ve run zoo-wide training initiatives. I’ve worked with pet owners and their animals. Additionally, I have articles published in industry magazines. Last but not least I run my own Animal Training business.

    • Well hi, i just want to train my chouwawa, don’t know how to spell that right, but we have an AMAZING bond and im young for a bond like that i have responsibility over her, shes probably about at least four at the least but i need to train her without me or her forgetting how or when to do it

  6. G’day. I’m an aussie wildlife carer. I have a Boobook Owl that is blind in one eye. He’s not releasable, so I need to be able to handle him easier to enable exercise. And training will help. Cheers.

    Thank you for making your course available to all. I run New England’s only non profit donkey and mule rescue. We use only positive reinforcement with all and offer workshops to teach adopters how to grow their relationship with their new family members.

  10. Greetings from the States! I just want to thank you for the time an effort that you put into this site and the podcasts. I have a couple of questions that I’d be interested in your thoughts. I have only made it through the first 6 podcasts so if you’ve addressed these questions I apologize, I just found it 3 days ago so I think I’ve got a decent pace going to catch up in a couple of months . My questions are this: Is a formal education generally necessary to find employment as an animal trainer? I’ve already loaded up on student loans and I’m not crazy about going down that road again. Also, what would you consider required reading for anyone looking to get into the field? Books and/or publications that are good for someone at the beginning of their journey. And finally something specific, I have 2 German Shepherd Dogs that I am attempting to implement the training methods that I am learning. One is a 1.5 year old male and has had prior obedience training utilizing an e-collar, the other is a 8 month old female with no training. Do you have any suggestion on moving away from the e-collar, and is clicker training with 2 dogs in close proximity possible or should I just always isolate them and train individually? Any help would be appreciated, thanks for the work you do!
