Over April & May – I’ve (Ryan Cartlidge) had the absolute pleasure of reading through Terries’ book. This has been via a book club facilitated by ATA member (& happiness engineer) David Thatcher. During this time David has been posting updates about the book, sharing his thoughts & inviting conversation in the ATA members-only Facebook group. You can see all of those posts here (link only works from a computer) >>> https://bit.ly/Book_Club_ATA
In Terries’ words (about the book):
“A good friend of mine was doing a lot of rescue work. She was always asking for ideas for good references and I’d share some of my favorites. Then she said, “hey, you should write a book” so I can share your info—so I did!
I wanted folks to understand that it doesn’t take a large amount of time, but rather we want to make the best of the time we have. Small sessions as frequently as possible add up. So even if you only spend a total of about ten minutes per day working on specific behaviors with your dog, you’ll certainly make great progress since patience and consistency are the keys!”
Therefore – I’m pumped to share this exclusive invitation to join Terrie & I, talk about this important subject, build upon our skillsets and learn new ways to help set our clients up for success! We will answer any/all of your questions and additionally have a special sharing of what Terrie has learned since the book’s original publication 3 years ago!
This is going to be such a valuable offering no matter where you on your animal training journey and no matter what species you work with! We will be excited to see you there! #celebrateapproximations
